Fed up with water falling from above? Why not head to the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium and surround yourself with it!
Here on the Jurassic coast we benefit from a climate of warm summers and mild winters, but of course the occasional rainy day is not unheard of.
Fortunately, there's no reason for the rain to put a dampener on your visit to West Dorset, as there's plenty to keep you and the kids entertained at the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium.
Be amazed by the local marine species from the Jurassic coast, hand feed our shoal of very tame grey mullet, hold a starfish and get up close with a giant lobster. Remember to bring your camera for the many great photo opportunities!
If you're looking for things to do when it rains in the West Dorset or East Devon area, set aside an hour or so and come and see some of the many creatures the sea has to offer.
