The aquarium is a great venue for school trips and is used extensively by visiting school parties, language schools and other groups including cubs, scouts and girl guides in and around Devon and Dorset and further afield.
We pride ourselves in offering a fun and educational opportunity for students while giving them a whole new perspective on the wonders of the Lyme bay coastline. Our objective is to spark their imagination, arouse curiosity and give them an appreciation of the amazing marine life that surrounds us all.
Students can explore the diversity of marine life which can be found along the Jurassic coast while having the opportunity to interact with the sea creatures. The aquarium is full of fascinating fish and crustaceans and the interactive and tactile element to a visit is designed to ensure your group will have an experience they will never forget.
Group visitors to the aquarium can hand feed a shoal of very tame mullet, hold a starfish and get up close with lobsters and crabs. Within our mullet lagoon students will delight at the truly unique experience of hand feeding our shoal of tame grey mullet. Students will marvel as they lower their clenched hand containing food into the tank, before slowly releasing to let these extremely gentle creatures take the food directly from the hand by sucking, caressing and kissing.
We go that extra mile to make all visitors feel welcome and will provide group visitors with a guided tour and informative talks. Either the owner or one of the knowledgeable staff will be happy to answer any questions.
Group visits will last for approximately 1 hour.
We offer special group rates to parties of 15 or more, so it makes sense to arrange a group booking.
We understand that the current economic climate has put added pressure on everyone's finances so our group rates are a substantial discount compared with our standard admission prices.
We charge a heavily discounted £5 per group visitor, whether adult or child.
